Why I Don’t Deliver 1,000 Photos (And Why That’s a Good Thing)
There’s a trend in the photography world that feels a little… backwards.
“1,000+ images delivered.”
Sounds impressive. Feels productive. Looks generous.
But in reality?
It’s usually where the problem starts.
Because too many options doesn’t create clarity.
It creates hesitation.
You open your gallery.
You scroll.
You favorite a handful.
You overthink the rest.
And then… you don’t post.
Here’s the difference with how I shoot.
When I plan a brand session, we’re not just showing up and hoping for good lighting and a cute pose.
There is strategy behind every image.
We’re mapping out:
What your business actually needs
How you’re showing up online
Where these images are going to live
And how they support your personal brand
So when you get your gallery, you’re not guessing.
You know:
“This is for my website.”
“This is for my launch.”
“This is for social.”
Every image has a role.
And yes, I’m thinking about all the essentials:
Horizontal
Vertical
Close-ups
Negative space
Personality
Movement
Storytelling
But the secret sauce?
The in-between moments.
The laugh you didn’t plan.
The smirk that’s so you it could be your logo.
The way you interact when you forget the camera is there.
Those are the images clients don’t expect…
and the ones they end up loving the most.
Now let’s talk about the part no one wants to admit.
I came from the wedding industry.
I used to deliver everything.
Hundreds. Sometimes thousands of images.
And you know what I learned?
Clients don’t care if their chin is angled 2 degrees differently in 17 nearly identical photos.
They don’t want to sort through that.
They don’t want to choose.
They don’t want another decision on their plate.
So I changed my process.
Now, I do the filtering for you.
I choose the best of the best.
The strongest images.
The ones that actually serve your brand.
So instead of overwhelming you with 1,000 options…
I deliver a curated gallery of 100–200 images that work.
And every single time, I get the same response:
“Wait… can I post these right now?”
Or:
“OMG I love these. I’m literally redoing my entire website.”
Because here’s the truth:
You don’t need more photos.
You need the right photos.
Fifteen strong, strategic images used well will outperform
500 images sitting untouched on your computer every single time.
That’s where the magic is.
Not in the quantity.
In the intention behind what you actually use.
My job isn’t just to take photos.
It’s to give you images you’ll actually use, confidently, consistently, and without overthinking every post.
And that only happens when less… is done right.
