Six Months After Leaving My 9–5: A Lesson in Personal Brand, Power, and Betting on Yourself
Six months ago, I left my 9–5.
Not long ago, my former supervisor texted me saying she wanted me to come back and I said there’s not enough money in the world.
I wasn’t even being dramatic.
Because for years, the thing that kept me stuck wasn’t the job itself. It was the fear. The fear that going all in on my business wouldn’t be enough. The fear that choosing myself would put my family at risk.
Six months later, I see things VERY differently.
What Leaving My 9–5 Taught Me About Money and Worth
Here’s what became crystal clear once I bet on myself:
-Money is everywhere.
-We’re all just figuring it out as we go.
-My time is worth more than any dollar amount.
- Opportunities expand when you do.
I now make more booking one aligned client for a few hours than I did working 80-hours in a psych hospital where I felt emotionally depleted and disconnected from myself.
More than income, though, I gained alignment.
I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to be doing in this season of life, and my work finally reflects who I am and what I value.
That’s not luck. That’s personal branding rooted in truth.
Personal Brand Is More Than Aesthetic, It’s Choice
As a woman in business, your personal brand isn’t just how you show up online. It’s how you choose to live.
And my desire to help women remember that they are in control of their lives has never been stronger.
I want the mom who’s working a full-time job while building her business at night to know this: you can bet on yourself. And when you do, your family doesn’t lose. They gain a more present, fulfilled version of you.
I want the woman running a six-figure business to remember she still has free will. She can take a random weekday off. She can go horseback riding on the beach simply because she wants to.
(Both of those women are me. Past me and future me, meeting in the middle.)
How Betting on Myself Changed My Business and My Life
Going all in on my business didn’t just grow my income. It reshaped my entire life.
I spend more time with my children.
I have fun again.
I take care of myself without guilt.
And here’s the part no one talks about enough: when I started taking care of myself, my children changed too. Our home feels calmer. More connected. More alive.
That’s the ripple effect of alignment.
This is what happens when women build businesses and personal brands that actually support their lives, not drain them.
A Reminder for Women Building Their Personal Brand
I genuinely believe the world would be a better place if more women trusted themselves enough to go all in.
Not recklessly but Intentionally.
With audacity.
With clarity.
With support.
If you’re a woman in business who feels stuck, unseen, or disconnected from your work, it might not be a strategy problem. It might be a self-trust problem.
And that’s something we can work through together.
Ready to Step Fully Into Your Personal Brand?
If you’re ready to be seen, supported, and aligned in your business, here’s how I can help:
✨ Brand Photography
Strategic, elevated imagery that reflects who you are now, not who you were five pivots ago. Photos that actually feel like you and work for your business.
✨ Brand Therapy
For the woman who knows she’s meant for something different but feels blocked, burned out, or unclear. We go deeper than visuals. This is mindset, identity, confidence, and clarity wrapped into one powerful experience.
Your brand should feel like freedom, not pressure.
Live with audacity.
Go after the dream that keeps tapping you on the shoulder.
Bet on yourself.
Baddie to baddie, I believe in you. 🖤✨
